Specialised Surgical Experience

With over a decade of experience as a gynaecologist, Dr G provides women with high quality, specialised services. His training in urogynaecology has equipped him with the skills and knowledge needed to treat complex cases of vaginal prolapse (including Uterine Prolapse, Cystocele, Urethrocele, Enterocele, Rectocele, and Vaginal Vault Prolapse). He also has extensive experience identifying and treating the different subtypes of urinary incontinence in women. His expertise in key hole surgery (minimal invasive surgery) allows him to manage various general gynaecological issues like excessive and painful periods, endometriosis, and uterine fibroids amongst others.

Dr G’s experience as a gynaecologist and surgeon spans a wide range of complex surgeries, which has earned him the respect of his colleagues. His areas of expertise with keyhole surgery include:

  • Laparoscopic Hysterectomy (including Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy and Laparoscopic Supra-Cervical Hysterectomy)
  • Laparoscopy and vaginal approach for Vaginal Prolapse (and related pelvic prolapse surgeries) including Mesh reconstructive surgery.
  • Latest minimal invasive sling procedure for Stress Urinary Incontinence
  • Laparoscopy for Uterine Fibroids (including Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic Myomectomy)
  • Laparoscopy for Endometriosis

Due to his expertise with keyhole surgery and his adherence to the RRGS approach, the period of hospitalisation experienced by the women he treats is extremely brief. In fact, most women are discharged within 24 hours of their surgery. They are generally able to return to their usual routines and resume normal functioning within days of their procedure. This includes activities like driving.

The measures he adopts significantly reduce the post-operative complications that typically follow surgery, such as Deep Vein Thrombosis, Muscle Atrophy, and Infection. His laparoscopy methods have been especially beneficial for young mothers who would otherwise have had great difficulty coping with the long hospital duration, acute pain, and slow recovery period typical of open surgery. This drastically reduces the stress associated with major surgeries, and makes surgery a viable option for women who would normally be deterred by the demands of open surgery.

With access to state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, medical knowledge that is constantly updated, and experience with a vast range of minimal invasive procedures, Dr G is no ordinary gynaecologist. Contact Dr G today and make an appointment with him. With his knowledge and experience, he will be able to diagnose your condition successfully, discuss the various treatment options available to you, recommend the method most suited to your case, and execute the treatment with success – thus allowing you to return to life as normal.
